Overview – ClearPlay makes use of a special DVD player that plays any regular DVD that gives you the ability to selectively filter out profanity, violence, and nudity. You can download new filters from ClearPlay with a membership plan.
How Does it Work – You have probably noticed that most DVDs have a menu where you can jump directly to a scene. Through the use of the ClearPlay filter on special "ClearPlay Enabled" DVD players, you basically skip over objectionable material. You have control over what is filtered through the filter settings. The ClearPlay website has demos so you get a better idea of what to expect when watching a movie with ClearPlay. The ClearPlay technology works with regular movies that you have purchased or rent. ClearPlay does not rent or sell DVDs. ClearPlay has to create the filter for each movie. Through the membership plan you can download new filters as they become available.
Filter Settings – ClearPlay has 14 different Filter settings that you can choose from. You can watch a movie on your ClearPlay DVD Player without any filtering.

How Many Movie Titles Does ClearPlay Support – ClearPlay Currently supports more than 2500 DVD Movie Titles. ClearPlay adds filters every week for new DVD releases or existing DVDs. At the ClearPlay website you can view the list of all movies that have filters available. You can also requests a filter for a movie if ClearPlay doesn't have one available.
Support – Clearplay provides excellent Customer Support through their website. The website features a filter request form, list of new and available filters, an extensive Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section, live chat support, and an online support form. Calls to their 800 numbere were answered quicly even on a Saturday.
Bottom Line - ClearPlay is simply the best technology available for DVD Movie Filtering. Like TVGuardian it will filter out objectionable language. but only ClearPlay will also filter scenes. ClearPlay will enable
many to enjoy movies with their families that they otherwise couldn't. Matching ClearPlay with one of the DVD Movie Rental services is an excellent way to enjoy movies and selectively filter out objectionable content.
